A Great Resume Building Experience!

Wheelock offers several one-year-long full-time positions to graduated students:

Store Manager

The Store Manager is in charge of ordering textbooks and managing the Bookrush staff. She or he is responsible for communicating with professors and department administrators about books. Well-developed organizational and people skills, grace under pressure, and the ability to multi-task are important qualities for this position.

Academic Resources Manager

The Academic Resources Manager creates print and digital readers, supervises staff, handles design and upkeep of the website, takes care of most graphic design and advertising, and manages and develops the digital services available through Wheelock Academic Resources. Good communication and organizational skills are a must, prior experience with computer hardware and software would be great, but we are happy to train a willing person with talent and enthusiasm!

Shipping and Receiving Manager

The Shipping and Receiving Manager handles the physical inventory of Wheelock. She or he receives shipments, stocks the store, catalogs and organizes storage, and returns overstock. The Shipping and Receiving Manager trains and supervises the majority of our staff during the term. A sharp memory, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lift heavy boxes are assets to this position.

Managerial positions are generally a 8:30 am - 5:30 pm commitment. However, Bookrush week requires 12-hour days and the week before and after often require extended hours as well. Weekend work is occasionally required.

To apply for managerial positions, please submit cover letter and resume in person at Wheelock Books. All three positions begin in late June or early July 2009 and last for one year.

Part-Time Employment
